How to install a WordPress theme | Easy ways to install a wordpress theme

Change of WordPress themes makes your website more interesting and attractive for the clients and consumers. Continuing with the WordPress tutorials series, today I will write about how to install WordPress themes on your blog.

It is not difficult to install a WordPress theme, in fact it is much the same as installing a plugin. This article describes the easy how to steps of installing new themes for your WordPress blog. You will also find several sites where you can find new WordPress Themes for your self-hosted WordPress blog.

Here’s the tutorial for you, complete with screenshots so even a beginner can easily install a WordPress theme on their blog and it shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.

There are a few c on your blog.

First, In the default WordPress installation, there are a couple of themes you can choose from your WordPress administration area > Appearance > Themes.

Upload your theme using an FTP client:
The first method of installing WordPress themes is the manual theme installation and requires you to upload the theme on your web hosting server,

1, Download your theme on your computer.

2, unzipped your theme.

3, Once you have the new WordPress theme on your local hard drive, you have to upload it under the ‘wp-content/themes’ directory of your website using an FTP client to connect to your hosting.

4, Once that is finished, log into your WordPress dashboard and activate your uploaded theme within your wordpress installed themes area.

Installing WordPress theme via WordPress admin panel:

  1. First login to your WP admin panel and on the left, you will see a tab called Appearance. Open it by clicking on the down arro. Click on Themes.
  2. Click on the ‘Install Themes’ tab to make it the active tab and then click on upload tab
  3. Click ‘Choose File’ button and browse your theme file. Then it is just a matter of clicking ‘Install Now’ and “Active” you are done.

Finally, Just remember you will not find any themes with malware or spamon the WordPress.org site, so it’s safe to browse themes from the Install Themes page in your  blog. if you need some customization for your theme, you can hire a WordPress designer.

    Sometimes the theme file is too big for the default upload size. On some shared hosts, this is 2MB. In this case, you’ll want to manually upload the to wp-content/themes folder via an FTP client.
